Snapy insect catcher
The Snapy is the starting point of every tracking operation. With this handy insect catcher you catch an Asian hornet from the bait pot without disturbing or damaging it. Via an extension with tube, the hornet naturally crawls towards the light, after which it is calmly placed in the gripper for marking or transmitter attachment. Fast, safe and stress-free for both the hornet and the tracker.
Tools for transmitter attachment
A set of specially developed tools with which you slide the transmitter over the wasp waist in 5 seconds, without sedation. The tools ensure correct placement and allow you to visually check that legs and wings remain free. Included in the tracking kit.
Tent for flight test
After attaching the transmitter, the hornet can do a test flight in the tent before being released. This way you check that the transmitter is properly attached and the hornet flies normally, without flying away immediately. Optional use: some trackers prefer to release the hornet directly at the bait pot.
Scale and weighing cups
A precision scale in milligrams, including two weighing cups. Essential for determining the weight of the hornet before tracking. Hornets from 300mg are suitable for the VFT160, lighter specimens for the VFT110 or VFT80. Accurate weight measurement significantly increases the chance of successful transmitter recovery.
Antenna stand for on the car
The ultra-sensitive receivers can be easily mounted on the roof of a vehicle via this stand. This way you search while driving for the signal of the tracked hornet, which greatly increases efficiency in larger search areas.
Magneetjes
The magnets are supplied in the kits with the VFT110 and VFT160 and are essential for transmitter recovery. After finding the nest, you replace the regular bait pot with a magnetic variant or place the supplied magnets on your wing or bait pot. The tracked hornet that returns to the bait pot automatically hangs, so you recover the transmitter without having to catch the hornet again. You don't even have to be there.

A sturdy, weatherproof transport case for the complete range. All parts of the different kits have their fixed place, so you are always ready to go and don't forget anything. Robust enough for field use, compact enough to take in the car.
